This Net is the first serious one ive bought and works wonderful for my DiY simulator. Strong enough to have taken hundreds of shots and not showing any signs of slowing down
The mat is great. Feels real and it's easy on the joints. I've had many friends try it out and they rave how much better it feels. One even bought one on the spot. The SPG7 is even better. It's so easy to put up and down and takes just a few minutes to do so. For it's size it's easily transported if needed. The ball rolls right back to you when practicing too. I can't imagine a better net out there.
Set-up took ten minutes, mostly because I was re-reading the instructions and convinced I’d missed something. “Couldn’t be this easy…” Well, it is. The entire net and hoop structure unfolded immediately and after threading the stiffing rod through the top overhang I was ready to position the mat and start hitting. The opening for the 7 foot is wide enough such that I’ve only missed one ball after two months — never bothered installing the optional side nets; although they might be helpful should I move the mat back another six feet. The quality of the backstop and ball return is exceptional — sturdy, durable and functional. I’m using it indoors and find that 8’ 9” is sufficient ceiling for a full swing with every club, although driver is cutting it close.
Full disclosure: I’ve not attempted to take it down yet so can’t comment on how well that process works.
Thought it would be appropriate to write a review on the 1st year anniversary of buying my Spornia practice net. At this point in time I have driven over 30,000 golf balls at the net using my sim set up, so it has had extremely good personal use. Located in my garage, where it is not exposed to the sun or inclement weather, it is set up for use full time so not packed or folded away.
After all this use it still looks like new. I have two spots at the top of the net where the nylon weave has broken off the frame structure (see picture), i believe this is from lofted shots repetitively striking roughly the same spot. The curtain that hangs within the net is showing moderate wear on the logo, but the material itself still looks like new (see picture).
The feature which pushes the balls to the front of the net, effectively a sloped floor created by a bottom net, works terrific. Retrieving balls from the net is a breeze. I have side netting to catch errant shots, as well as an overhead net to prevent lofted shots from finding their way to the drywall, but the Spornia net is wide and tall enough to catch all but those few total mishits. The arched top piece works great at catching chip shots. My net is 10 feet from the the mat I hit from (tee to hanging curtain).
Overall, I give this product a full 5 star review. I will revisit again in another years time.
I’m using this as a practice setup in my garage. The mat has been great, I’ve hit a couple thousand balls and haven’t had any issues with mat fatigue. I chose the SPG-8 net, and it has done a great job catching all my errant shots. My only issue with the net is it constantly leans over to the side. There’s a video from spornia about fixing it by pushing in on the sides. This fix works for a handful of shots and then the net begins leaning over again pretty quickly.
Very easy and quick set-up/ tear down in 5 minutes or less. Performs just as the company claims. Very pleased with the net.
I order mine a few weeks ago and the product is great ! And everyone always willing to help !
Side extensions may be rarely used (hopefully) but they give you the confidence to swing freely and not worry about errant shots. I have a couple of friends who have the odd shank -- as proven by the dents in my garage door -- and the side net has been a great addition to the main net. A simple bungee cord wrapped to a small weighted bag anchors the end of the net well behind my hitting mat so it's out of the way and ready to catch the odd shank. Highly recommend.
Love both the net and monitor. Easy set up for both. Great customer service ( exchanged net) . Nothing negative at all.
The equipment is just as advertised. High quality, easy setup and take down.
Net works great, really portable and stores up tight if you want to. My net does lean to the right. Appears this is a common problem. I tried doing the “fix” spornia put on Youtube and it worked for about an hour. Not a big deal cause you can pull it straight with the rope and an anchor or to something in the area.
Easy set up and tear down. Love using it indoors in my garage. Exactly as I envisioned at a great price point.
Love the gloves and the swing tips are a clever idea. Almost everything i need to be reminded of when I address the ball.
This was a birthday present for my grandson. He is the one who picked it out, but he loves it.
I’ve been using the target sheet with my Spornia net. I think it works great! And the impact isn’t that loud which is a positive. My only negative is that it doesn’t stretch exactly square so when I project on it it is a little ‘wrinkly’. Other than that it’s great
