Simulator Guide
Build a home golf setup that fits your space and the way you practice. Start with a net, hitting mat, and launch monitor, then add projection whenever you’re ready.
1. Start With the Essentials
Golf Net
Choose a Spornia net that fits your space, with enough clearance for your swing and the net’s full setup dimensions.
Hitting Mat
Create a consistent hitting surface while protecting the floor beneath your practice area.
Launch Monitor
Track your shots and view results through a compatible device or simulator app. Features, supported devices, and software requirements vary by model.
Compatible Device & Software
Depending on your launch monitor, you may need a phone, tablet, or computer. Check compatibility and any subscription requirements before purchasing.
2. Decide How You Want to Play
Practice With Shot Data
Hit into your standard Spornia target sheet and view your results on a compatible phone, tablet, or computer.
Play Virtual Courses
Use a launch monitor with compatible simulation software to play courses on your supported device or connected display.
Add Projection
For a projected experience, add a compatible white simulator screen and a suitable projector.
A projector and white screen are optional. You can use a launch monitor while hitting into your standard Spornia target sheet.
3. Check Your Space
Measure your practice area before choosing your equipment.
- Ceiling height: Allow enough clearance for your full swing.
- Room width: Leave room for your stance and swing on both sides.
- Room depth: Account for the net, hitting position, and launch monitor’s required distances.
- Net clearance: Check the complete setup dimensions and required clearance around the net.
If you plan to use a projector, consider its mounting position, throw distance, and image size.
4. Choose Your Launch Monitor
Placement depends on the model. Some launch monitors sit behind the ball, others sit beside it, and some mount overhead.
Before buying, check:
- Required ball-to-net and monitor-to-ball distances
- Indoor and outdoor suitability
- Supported phones, tablets, or computers
- Simulator software compatibility
- Subscriptions and additional equipment costs
Follow the manufacturer’s requirements for your specific model.
5. Choose Your Spornia Net
SPG-7 Standard
A versatile starting point. Our most popular net size for home practice.
SPG-8 X-Large
More hitting area. A larger option for golfers with room for a bigger setup.
SPG-5 Compact
A smaller footprint. An option for compact practice areas. Make sure your space still meets your swing-clearance and launch-monitor requirements.
For projection, confirm that a compatible white simulator screen is available for your chosen net.
6. Build Your Setup
Choose individual products or explore our Golf Simulator Bundles to find a net, mat, and launch monitor combination.
Check each bundle’s included items before ordering. Projectors, devices, software, and subscriptions may need to be purchased separately.
